Summary:
The initial backyard was quite small so the garage was removed to make way for the pool. Access to the property was provided from the bluestone lane at the rear.
A 7.0m x 3.5m pool was located near the rear boundary, with a full length swimout down one side to provide a place to relax. The white tiles in the pool were chosen to compliment the existing colours and matched to the Anston Bondi paving. The final water colour is a natural blue which looks inviting all of the time and also helps to create a sense of space.
The pool was a stone clad raised planter at the rear to add another dimension to the project and also help with getting some initial screening height. Ornamental Pears were planted in front of a dark rendered fence. These were chosen for both their height and beautiful leaf and structure.
The pool has all of the modern features to make it a dream to own and cut maintenance to a minimum including self cleaning, automatic filling and automatic chemical managemnent. This results in a pool that is always ready to swim in.
