Family fun in a stunning Infinity Pool
Our clients were undertaking a new luxury home construction on a large outer suburban property. They wanted a swimming pool that would be suitable for family fun and exercise. They also wanted the pool to be a showpiece.
The block had a significant slope that naturally leant itself towards a tiered landscape. A 16.7m x 2.0m lap pool transverses the yard, nestled between the house and lower landscape. A large 7.5m x 5.0m offset play area breaks out between two raised bluestone planters with an infinity edge providing a stunning link between the pool and remainder of the garden.
The infinity edge was designed as part of the compliant safety barrier for the pool with a stone topped moat concealing the balance tank gutter.
The pool is fully tiled with Bisazza Delhi Blend glass mosaics which complement the natural bluestone crazy paving. The mosaics wrap the pool wall to provide the finish on the exposed infinity edge. The green water tones are sympathetic to the surrounds and blend naturally with the environment beyond. A black feature tile provides a guide for lap swimmers.
The pool features dual heating systems, multicoloured lights and a fully automated salt chlorination system.
The pool fulfils all of the owner initial requirements with a generous lap lane for swimmers, large fun area and striking infinity edge providing the showpiece.
