Client to-do list for a smooth build
To minimise any time delays and ensure a smooth pool build, make sure to tick off the following items.

Most councils will require an Asset Protection Permit to help protect their infrastructure assets. The Asset Protection Application Form can generally be downloaded from the council website.
TEMPORARY FENCING OR PROTECTION COVER
Temporary fencing is required to protect both the public and occupants from work being done on the building site.
SITE SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS
Neptune Pools makes a commitment to all of our customers to ensure when we leave, the site is safe and clean. It’s important to ensure that the pool remains free of water (less than 300mm of water), and that the pool shell and finished surfaces remain as clean as possible. Neptune Pools can arrange to supply a submersible pump, hose and lead for the duration of the project if required.
POOL FENCING AND BARRIER
A compliant pool barrier and gate are required to be installed prior to the pool being filled with water.
It’s important to clear any obstructions that may restrict access or works. This can include trees, pathways, rocks, rubble, etc. There may also be underground services that require diversion prior to the works taking place.

- filter backwash line
- pool overflow
- automatic filler
- gas heater
A licensed electrician is required to make all electrical and data connections to pool appliances including:
- power points for the pool equipment including any internal switching
- automation systems
- earthing of the pool shell
