Exercise and entertainment all in one!

Our clients were constructing a new luxury home and wanted an indoor swimming pool for both exercise and entertainment purposes. The design was to comprise a 14m long lap pool running down one side of the house with a 6.7m x 3.3m extension around the corner for family fun. A spa was to be installed at the end of the pool adjacent to the undercover alfresco area.

There were several challenges with this project, particularly through the structural stage. The block was split level with approximately a 3.0m difference between top and bottom levels. This made access for excavation difficult. As the excavation was scheduled mid-winter excessive rain caused flooding of the hole which led to significant cave ins. The pool had to be mostly re excavated and fully formed. The pool was to be constructed directly against the house, which had not yet been constructed. Precision was required to ensure the correct location with a tolerance of around 10mm across the two sides of the house available.

As the pool wraps the house and alfresco area it is a significant feature from all angles. This is enhanced by the exhilarating backdrop of the marina beyond the pool.

Finishes are of the highest quality with the pool being fully tiled with Bisazza Palma Blend glass mosaics. The pool features dual heating systems, multicoloured lights and a chlorine free system which is ideal for the indoor environment. The pool is synced with the home automation system can be operated from inside the house, by phone or by tablet with full control over pool, spa, heating, lighting and all other functions.

This pool has been designed and constructed to provide the user with a great space for exercise, entertainment and relaxation, whilst also being a major feature to this luxury home. Latest proven technology has been adopted to provide a pleasurable user experience.
